I would be interested in any information you have come across that profiles different consumer shopping patterns. What is known about the demographic/psychographic profiles of shoppers who use comparison engines vs. coupon sites vs. search vs. returning to favorite stores, etc.

Obviously, many people rely on different combinations of the available tools for different types of purchases. However, I would love to read anything you come across on this topic.
