Search Engine Watch Correspondent

Search Engine Watch vertical search correspondent

I’ve been reading Danny Sullivan’s Search Engine Watch for years, so it’s an honor that Danny and Chris Sherman asked me to contribute to Search Engine Watch (SEW). As of today, I’ll be writing for the SEW blog as the Shopping & Vertical Search Correspondent.

This does not change anything for the readers of ComparisonEngines.com. You can still count on ComparisonEngines to deliver high quality interviews, analysis, news, and commentary. ComparisonEngines.com will continue to be the first place I post information on the shopping engines.

Danny understands the importance of vertical search and needs someone to keep his audience informed. As opposed to Danny just linking to my posts, being a ‘correspondent’ allows me to customize the content and be a real resource for SEW readers. I’ll write unique content for SEW, but I’ll post excerpts here if I think it fits in with this site.

Think of this partnership as a way to educate more people on the benefits of vertical search. Also, the SEW readership includes a number of search marketers who will bring a unique perspective to the conversation here at ComparisonEngines.

Just so you know, I’m not getting paid by SEW as I want to remain an independent analyst. If that ever changes, you’ll be the first to know.

Thanks Danny, Chris, Jen, Barry, and Elisabeth!

Go Brian! Go Brian! It’s your birthday!

Congrats – you may need a security detail at the next SES to keep away the throngs of fans!
