Many sites boast ebay's great deals but recently the online marketplace trend has taken a turn. Now you see more competition and many of the soon to be competitors are turning up the heat. There is much to be said about popularity...yes eBay is the most popular thus far, but IE was once the most popular browers and now Mozilla FireFox is gaining popularity. Security, functionality and change is what the new online marketplace wants to see. If you want to see a new trend that will tremble the online marketplace go look at Zoobid.com 4 great buys as they offer no fee listings for buyers and sellers. No sign up fees and just released information stating they will be adding a suggested feature poll so that changes can be made as they arise for the marketplace community. I think others such as ubid.com and auctionfire.com lack the ability to change as they are to concerned with ebay as a competitor. Cut out the fees for selling products and add on tools and needs that the end user really desires. NO FEES PLEASE!!!

Pricegrabber just doesn't have the customers that eBay and amazon have. I started getting sales on those within 2 days when I first started with them. I tried pricegrabber for one month now and sales in still zero. They only have limited products and you will have to pay $10 each product for them to add it. It would be worth the investment but I have not seen any sales yet and I am only one of 2 sellers of this particular item. I normally sell average of 4 items on eBay and amazone per day. Pricegrabber is definite still a weak competitor.

We are receiving a lot of disgruntled Ebay seller who are looking for an alternative. eBay’s top competitors, Bidz.com and uBid.com, have both achieved significant traffic gains over the past year. Bidz.com grew 102 percent to 2.2 million visitors, while uBid.com grew 100 percent to 1.5 million visitors. We are seeing the emergence of new players in this coveted retail space and it's only begining.

I've been selling on Pricegrabber for about a year, and I really like it. You can get a hold of real people to talk to during busines hours, and they will walk even the slowest person through how to list. And better than ebay, the listings stay up forever, no relisting every couple of months. It can take time to get ratings, and they can limit selling until you do, but all in all, if you put a little effort into it, it's a good place.
