Where’s Brian – Online & Offline

Online:
-As I’m sure you’re all well aware, Danny Sullivan has left SEW and is opening up shop at Search Engine Land. He was nice enough to invite me along for the ride. Starting December 11, I’ll be posting alongside Phil Bradley, Bill Slawski (love his blog!), Jennifer Slegg, Greg Sterling, Barry Schwartz, Chris Sherman, and of course, Danny.
-LoveYourFeed is starting to take off. The more posts, the more readers it attracts – amazing concept! I promised to write a post a day through the end of the year, and I’m sticking with that promise. Check out my most recent post: Product Attributes Matter. While LoveYourFeed focuses on data feed optimization for merchants submitting to the shopping search engines, if you’re trying to grok the comparison shopping industry, I think it’s smart to check out that site every once in a while. Understanding the merchant side of the comparison engine industry is integral to figuring out the future of the industry.

Offline:
-I’ll be in Chicago next week for Search Engine Strategies (SES). We’re changing up the format of the shopping search strategies session a bit and hope to change it up a lot more for the next conference. I’m pushing for turning it into a Jeopardy type game show, but we’ve gotta take baby steps. I’m not supposed to bribe people to come to the session, but I know Scott Greenberg (Marchex), Brian Mark (Toolbarn), and Allan Dick (Vintage Tub and Bath), and I are all bringing goodies for the audience members.
-I’ll probably be at CES in early January
-I’ll be at Shawn & Missy’s Affiliate Summit in late January
-Channel Advisor has graciously invited me to speak at their March Catalyst Conference. While I’ve been slow to get my picture over to them (sorry Howard – this weekend, I promise), there are still some good looking faces on the speaker list. Read my impressions of last year’s conference along with my session notes.
