I find it interesting that they are moving away from the pure “search engine” feel in favor of a more merchandised/browse experience. Maybe they hired the same designer that did Pronto.com’s redesign.

Perhaps it’s a test or hasn’t rolled out completely. I agree that they seem less focused on research and are shifting more towards a “traditional” comparison shopping engine.
