1) Go to Luxembourg Gardens (main park in heart of Paris); the childrens’ playground there is really, really, really fun.
2) Eat at a restaurant called Le Cherche Midi (our favorite in all of Paris). To give you an idea of how good this place is, they fly their mozarella in via UPS from a tiny town in Italy.
3) Spend time walking Blvd St Germain (Left Bank), Rue des Francs Bourgeois (Marais)
4) Visit the most luxurious luxury food market *of all time*, called La Grande Epicerie, buy food, wine & baquette, then go walk 50 yards to the park at Rue de Sevres & Blvd Raspail, find a patch of grass without too many cigarette butts, and enjoy.
5) Visit Place du Marche St Honore, one of the cooler squares you’ll ever see, and while you’re there eat lunch at either Fuxia (innnncredible pasta & salads) or Razowski’s (hamburgers that’ll make you remember that they were first created – and since perfected – in Europe, not America.
6) Spend some time walking around Ile St Louis (one of the two islands on the Seine), and try Bertillon (sp?) ice cream, which the French [of course] consider the best ice cream on the planet.
